The Eyre Affair (Thursday Next)
3 journalers for this copy...
I just couldn't get into this one- the cover was really off-putting (very comic strip) and I just didn't find it funny. Others in our book group did enjoy it as a light read so maybe I just picked it up at the wrong time.

Picked up at the York meet. I've only read a few pages so far but am enjoying it - will update later when I've read it properly.
Very silly and a lot of fun. I love the basic premise of a country totally immersed in literature and art, to the point where various factions are rioting in the streets over who really wrote Shakespeare's plays! Recommended as a light read, although the various paradoxes (time and literary) may give you a headache.
