This arrived this morning, thank you Jaycee1972 for sending it to me!

I just started reading B is for Burglar this morning and after that I will be reading G is for Gumshoe. I will most likely need to read something else other than Sue Grafton after that :) before reading and sending on this one!

I finished this yesterday. It was another great Su Grafton book but I wasn't too impressed with the way the story turned out. I think it because I was getting annoyed with Kinsey's bad decisions. I always thought of her being so clever and wise and here she was making a book full of bad mistakes.

Still a great read though and thanks Jaycee1972 for letting me take part in this ring and the other Sue Grafton ring you organised!

I have the address for the next person and should get the book in the post on Monday.

Thanks Amberkatze, the book arrived today. Luckily I finished my last bookring this morning so I can start it straight away. What good timing!

As usual another great Sue Grafton book. A nice quick read but I thought the first half was more exciting than the second. Thanks for sharing!

Passed on to calalilly at the Talisman meet-up.

Given to me at the Talisman by Purplerosebud. Looking forward to reading this as I've enjoyed previous ones in the serious.

Another good book by Sue Grafton but definitely agree that the first half of the book was better than the second. Will be getting Morgail address to post it off.

I just love Sue Grafton. The books just get better & better the further into the series I get.
I'm especially partial to this one since a good chunk of this book is set in Louisville (which is where Ms. Grafton is originally from). Thanks, Jaycee1972, for starting this ray:)

I found a photo of the '37 flood, which is mentioned in the book:

And here is a picture of a shotgun house, which is also described in the book:

Interestingly, my sister in law & her husband recently bought a camelback (aka humpback) house here in Louisville.

Mailed to cathepsut on 5/5/06.

Received yesterday, thanks so much! I am currently reading "A is for Alibi", as a bookring for "B is for Burglar" is on the way to me as well. Well, I guess I have to skip a few letters and move from A straight to L!

From Amazon.com:
In this case, Kinsey agrees to do a favor for a friend of a friend and gets herself into so much trouble that she promises at the outset never to do such a thing again without careful consideration.
Henry Pitt, her longtime landlord asks her to help a fellow neighbor find evidence that his grandfather served in the military during the Second World War. With such proof, the man can be decently buried, courtesy of the U.S. government. It seems such a simple thing, but with Kinsey, it rarely is. Before long she finds herself entangled with an eccentric and quarrelsome family as well as a long lost buddy who has turned up just in time to get himself beaten up in a robbery attempt of the veteran's apartment.

Excellent book. My favourite Kinsey Millhone book so far. I love the parts, where she goes undercover as a maid in a hotel. Good fun, entertaining treasure hunt, where even the good guys are crooks. Makes life (and books) so much more interesting.

10/10: Excellent. This book has simply been a pure delight to read.´

Thanks to Morgail for the shotgun-house photo!
