I'm a scientist vaguely in the botanical field, so this tale of alleged deception and fraud in a kind of work very similar to my own kept me somewhat interested... not sure how it would be for readers who consider this kind of work an alien world. Moderately amusing at times, and probably more of interest as an examination of the personalities of scientists than an actual piece of scientific detective work.
