Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell
2 journalers for this copy...
When this book about "the return of magic to England" was released, it was touted as "Harry Potter for adults". Well...it's not. It is, however, an interesting contrast to HP, as Susanna Clarke's magical world has a much more realistic and historical feel. A good read, but not a page-turner.
At 782 pages, this is a huge book which would be very expensive to mail (especially considering the postal rates here in Canada), so I would prefer to give it to someone locally or release it into the wild.

This was one of my favourite reads when it first came out. I loved the world of Jonathon Strange and Mr. Norrell.
I picked it up at the book buffet table at the convention. Thanks for sharing.
