Synopsis
Rachel Walsh is 27 and the miserable owner of size 8 feet. Overly fond of recreational drugs, she gets frogmarched into the Cloisters, Dublin's answer to the Betty Ford Clinic. Once there, she seeks redemption in the shape of Chris, a "man with a past". A novel by turns poignant, powerful and seriously funny.

--------------

I truly enjoyed this book.

A very well written book that I couldn't put down. It gives a very insightful view to Rachel and her problems, especially she thinks she doesn't have a problem. The subject matter could actually be very depressing and sad, but its approached in a manner that makes it funny, but still thought provoking. Rachel is a person you will love, scorn, cry for and laugh with. She is hilarious, heartbreaking, annoying and wonderful. Feel that I can't find big enough words to really say how much I loved it. This is a book I really want to read again some time.

This was such a great read. I am really sad I have finished it. I have been laughing so much reading it, but at the end also shed a tear or two. This story is very close to home for me. I have been in the same situation, only the love of my live did not take me back. :)
This book was worth a 10 for me.
Thanks intry. xxx

Hi Intri. I know I have kept this book way to long. Now I am glad I did hang on to it. I loved it, because I just recently discovered when Marian Keyes new book was published Anybody out There? that she had written more books about The Walsh sisters.

So I immediately added Anybody out there to my wish list and also tried to find a copy of Angels.
Yesterday searching online to buy both books secondhand to my big surprise I discovered that Watermelon is also about the Walsh sisters.

So there I was looking for the books on Ebay and other secondhand places then the doorbell rang.
The postman with a package. From Giz..... In it was Anybody out there! (which was in my shopping basket and I was on the verge of ordering)

Yesterday I also managed to find a Dutch online shop and I bought Watermelon for a reasonable price (and received it today!)
so now I only need to get my hands on Angels.

So I am glad I kept Rachel's Holiday because I will re read it.

When I am done I will do my best to find another copy so I can let your copy travel.
Hugs

Yes, a book from my favorite chicklit writer! Although I have ringbooks, loads of TBR books, this book will probably be read asap!

I loved it! What a great story. Marian Keyes is no ordinary chicklit writer, she is the best! I couldn't put the book down, so I've read it in 24 hours. And now I feel sad, as the book is finished.
