Nights of Rain and Stars

I read this a while ago, I can't remember the story off the top of my head but I know I enjoyed it.

Taken this out of the Chicklit Bookbox. I still have quite a few books ahead of me but it's going on my TBR pile.

Thanks so much for coming out to join us for breakfast. I didn't realise you were a bookcrosser until the very end, just as I was leaving - I thought you were a relative of Margarets! I hope you had a nice time meeting us and enjoyed your Canadian Bookcrossing experience.
Look me up if you're in Toronto again - I'd love to get together and chat.
Oh..and thanks for the book, this will be my first Maeve Binchy. She's been recommended to me so many times but I've been resisting for some unknown reason..but no more!

Starting to read this tonight so I can release it at the convention next month - hopefully this book will get to travel a little more!
This was...ok. Very syrupy sweet, movie of the week-ish. The characters are almost caricatures and the description of the Greek Village is very "Year in Provence- ish", if that makes any sense.
I was actually quite disappointed in the writing style. It seemed very stilted and unnatural, not flowing at all.
I was told by a friend that this is not Binchy's best work..so I may give her another shot sometime.

Enjoy!
I picked this up at the Oakville meetup today.
My mom likes Maeve Binchy so if she hasn't read this one, I'll definitely be sharing it with her.

Since I've joined BookCrossing I've become my mom's personal lending library. LOL! I'm going to be seeing her on Tuesday and she requested a bag of books so I've been culling Mt. TBR for some titles I think she'll like.
Expect to see a journal entry from chargoyle. She'll give this one back to me next time I see her.

Another great book from my daughter, morsecode. For me it was one of Maeve Binchy's best. Her descriptons of the Greek island were perfect. (I've been to one and I felt I was right back there.) I liked the characters and the plot, so I kept reading and reading! The only odd note was the American character saying "Britishisms" like trainers for sneakers.
I am returning this to morsecode and hoping it reminds her, too, of our visit to the island of Paros.

This book is now back with me (actually, it's been back with me for quite some time, but I forgot to journal it earlier)
I started reading this last month and just couldn't get into the story (though I have to say that I love the cover of the book). r and I went to Panera for a late breakfast so I wild released it there (I actually released it around 10, but I'm setting the release time for 12 so that this journal entry ends up first).
