Thanks Sara. What a lovely old book! I don't know how you managed to part with it!

Having just read The Secret Garden I expected this to be set at the same age group. However, I found the way it was written very childish and this annoyed me. I suppose this book is great if you are really into horses and I suppose it is interesting to hear things from a horse's persepctive, especially the different ways to be used and ridden etc.
The other thing I didn't enjoy too much was the constant religious barrage throughout by a variety of characters. I'm not really into religion at all and this irked me somewhat and spoiled the story.
I'm glad I've finally got round to reading it though. You can't form an opinion until you have read something.
