I really like some other Robbins works like "Still Life With Woodpecker" and "Skinny Legs and All," so I thought I'd give this one a try. MarahSulloy highly recommended it.

If you liked Skinny Legs and All, you'll probably enjoy this one as well. The subject matter is different of course, but the style is similar, and there is a cameo by one Ellen Cherry Charles of Skinny Legs... fame.

Oh, this made my day! Here I am, sluggishly churning out a 20-page paper (on carbon monoxide as a mammalian gas biosensor, if anyone's interested) and here's this wonderful book in the mail! I'm staring at it...using it as my motivation to finish this paper because, once I hand it in, I have the whole summer to lounge on my balcony and read!!! Thanks so much cliff1976 for sending this one over...I really, really appreciate a good Tom Robbins novel! :)
