This little book is about applying the principles of improvisational theatre to one's whole life. This is set out in 13 shourt chapters, each chapter expounding on one of the following maxims:
Say Yes
Don't Prepare
Just Show Up
Start Anywhere
Be Average
Pay Attention
Face the Facts
Stay on Course
Wake up to the Gifts
Make Mistakes, Please
Act Now
Take Care of Each Other
Enjoy the Ride
So far, I'm really enjoying the book, and I have someone in mind who might like to read it next.

It seemed promising, but use of the principles of improvisational theatre as motivational/self-help falls flat. Or rather, this is the same self-help book I've seen a hundred times (and given a pass) wearing theatre clothes, and I tired pretty quickly of the references to improv -- when that's not at all what the author was really talking about. There's no useful information whatsoever about improv here, just the same tired (but enthusiastic, I think) advice to enjoy and live in the moment, be kind to others, accept things as they are, etc.
Looking towards reading this one.
