Just after midnight, a snowdrift stopped the Orient Express in its tracks. The luxurious train was surprisingly full for the time of the year. But by the morning there was one passenger fewer. An American lay dead in his compartment, stabbed a dozen times, his door locked from the inside.
With tension mounting, detective Hercule Poirot comes up with not one, but two solutions to the crime.
The book was first published in Saturday Evening Post, from July 1 to September 30, 1933. It was published as a book 1934.

I've read this years ago and of course seen the film. The atmosphere was such that as a youngster I thought I'd like to make that same train trip. Well, who knows?
I might re-read this or give to a friend who I vaguely remember has this on her wishlist.

A vintage Poirot. I usually cannot remember plots well, but this one came back to me all too soon.
Off to GronnLivsstil in Norway, who won the Tea & Mystery Sweepstake. Congrats!

Got this book in the mail today. Thank you so much, as I love Agatha Christie. Now I just wonder whether I'm the winner of the sweepstakes or just the decoy, as this is the first (and so far only) I got.
One of the better Christie books.
