The Eyre Affair (Thursday Next)
10 journalers for this copy...
This book has time shifting, tons of little literary references which will make any book lover smile, a cloned pet dodo and many other quirks. This was a very refreshing read and very imaginitive.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Releasing book to my sister, tomsmama, to start this short ring.
NEED MORE THURSDAY!
Off to PM next ringer for address.
Thanks!
I have a couple of books to read before this one, but I am going to try to get it back on the road sometime next week.
(I love the Dodo on the front cover!!!)
I had a really bad day at work yesterday and Lost in a Good Book has been burning a hole on my bookshelf since November 7th(!) so I decided to bump this book right to the top of my TBR. I am so happy that I did... this book was a wonderful distraction from all my work stress.
I'd heard great things about this series and I was not disappointed. I loved the literary references, the crazy "history," and the all-round zaniness of the book. Not to mention the dodos!
With permission from chich (the lovely BCer who has been granting my Thursday Next wishes), I stole a little journal entry trick to bring the walking, talking Pickwick to you all. I hope you like it!
I am going on vacation and do not want to take a chance on losing a ring. So will leave the book here while I travel and start reading as soon as I get home.
May 22, 2006 - Just an update - Lilygirl appears to be MIA right now, so per LGinder's instructions I have PM'd next in line (SCA2003) for an address. Hopefully we can track down Lilygirl eventually and get her back on line, until then, we can keep the book moving.

Sending off to DoveiLibri,enjoy!
June 13, 2012: Promised to Elskaliam in exchange for a Kathy Reichs book, Break No Bones. Sent for and received Elskaliam's mailing address so I can send it off as soon as I read it!
October 6, 2012: Finished this book, and I'm sorry to say that I didn't enjoy it very much. I can't put my finger on it, but the writing style was too inconsistent for me, the strange plot ideas (though cute and imaginative) were just TOO many, the time-shifting, rearranging and alternative history just too choppy. I am going to agree with "OneMorePage" here, especially when they said: "I don't know what my problem is - this seems like a book that would be exactly my cup 'o' tea. But I just cannot get in to it ... I had been eager to read it for so long!"
Getting ready to send this book out to Elskaliam
