I read this last year

Thought I should edit this to add what I wrote in the journal entry of the copy I read last year.

Wonderful book, beautifully written, but quickly read.
It is sad and funny, and also thought provoking.

This was one of books for release at the Burnside Community Fun Day. A man came up and sang it praises for a while and then did not take to book. I was so impressed with his description that I snuk it off the table into by bag to add to my TBR pile. The good news is that my TBR pile is now a lot smaller thanks to all the books I managed to give away.

I am so glad I listened to the recommendations of the gentleman at the Community Fun Day. The book felt totally authentic. I have no experience with Indian/Native American culture but the book felt real. I couple of times I was rechecking the cover to see if it was a biography, but it quite clearly says novel. A wonderful story without being overly sentimental, I was drawn totally into the world. Thanks Boreal for sharing.
