CFUW Orangeville (Ontario, Canada) Fall Gathering Book Launch - November 2005

I obtained this book at the Fall Gathering of univesity women in November. Our CFUW club will be launching a bookcrossing site at Mochaberry's on Broadway St. in Orangeville by the end of February.
I thought I'd enjoy this book as I like the works of Rohinton Mistry and learning about another culture is a bonus also. This book could be set in any country or culture as it is a story of complex relationships and much sorrow. It is well written but a bit of a downer--not to be read on rainy days if you're looking for the sun to break through at any moment.

I picked this book up at a Fall Gathering of CFUW women in Orangeville.
I did not find this book an easy read but is probably worth a second look.
I will leave it at Mochaberry Coffee Shop in Orangeville.
