From the back cover:
"Melinda Sordino busted an end-of-summer party by calling the cops, so her old friends won't talk to her, and people she doesn't know hate her from a distance. The safest place to be is alone, inside her own head. But even that's not safe. Because there's something she's trying not to think about, something about the night of the party that, if she let it in, would blow her carefully constructed disguise to smithereens. And then she would have to speak the truth."
I thought this was a terrific teen novel whose protagonist has a very real and honest voice. The writing, the format, and the story all make for a quick and compelling read, easily finished in a couple of sittings. This book will stay with you, however, especially if you are a parent or have completely blocked your high school years from your memory.

Bookray - or possibly just an RABCK, LOL.
Sending this off on an International bookray! I'd like to keep this open-ended for as long as possible, but if you find yourself the last person on the list after you've read it, please find an appropriate thing to do with the book. (You can start another ray or a ring, share it with someone you know or another BCer, or just give it a good home. Please just be sure to make a journal entry stating what you're doing.) Thanks!

Received - thanks Guinneth! Since I'm the only one on the list right now and I have a few other books I'm working on, I'm going to wait a bit till getting to this.
Thanks again Guinneth!
Thanks again Guinneth!
I thought this was a great teen novel, something I would've really enjoyed back in middle or high school. I agree with Guinneth and think the voice is real and honest.
Well, no one's lined up after me so this one will hang out while I figure out what I'm going to do with it.
Thanks again to Guinneth for sharing!!
