6/12/03 I've finally finished this book of short stories upon which films were based. These are excellent stories by a variety of writers such as GK Chesterton, Arthur Conan Doyle, Robert Bloch, and RL Stevenson. The film best known to me was "Psycho". There is also a worthwhile introduction by Isaac Asimov, which urges the reader to "not view the story as a version of the movie", but to enjoy each as a different art form. Good advice, I think, concerning most films based on books.
