DEATH AT LA FENICE is the first of the wonderful Guido Brunetti mysteries by Donna Leon. I have been shamelessly buying them and devouring them, and it's time to set them free. The mystery here is good -- but far better is the exploration of the city and lifestyle of Venice, and the fabulous characters that the reader meets there.
Start with this one... and then look for the rest! I'll be sending them all into the wild!

It was a gorgeous autumn day here in southern New Hampshire, so I'm leaving this book at the plaza where tomorrow (which looks to be another perfect day) I'm hoping that folks from the surrounding offices and businesses will be sitting, enjoying the weather, eating their lunches... and picking up this Bookcrossing book!
