Nick Hornby is moving on. There are new ideas in this book. 4 people are "meeting" under very special circumstances: they all want to kill themselves at the same place and the same time. And of course they end up not doing it. Going together on a search of the meaning of life.. Or something. It is interesting. It is well written. But it lacks something even if I cannot point what. Hornby's book is like a fractional view into present day british mentality, much disturbed, deranged and living for trivias. But it's not all...

That sounds interesting - thanks a lot!
Took this from the OBCZ four days ago and have already finished it. It was a very interesting idea, well written and I especially like how he created the four different characters mainly by the way HOW they were telling their story. OK, Jess was a little too much sometimes, but then she was the one with the most interesting charcter and I liked it when she said things like: JJ could have put a sort of ramp up to my sentences to help people skateboard down from them. All in all an enjoyable read, even though I have been missing something, too, especially in the end. It's not that I always need a happy ending. But that was no real ending for me.
