Cinematic spy detective story with a psychedelic twist a la back-to-the-future.... Very enjoyable easy read, perfect for before-bed or bus route reading. Characters could have been more finely drawn and some real depth would have been appreciated, but in keeping with the caricatures that epitomize 20s-style black and white mystery they are a little larger than life and entertaining. Original scheme and a very cleverly worked out plot.

I picked up this book at the London meeting on 11 October 2005. It was recommended by two or three people, so it should be good. It will have to remain for quite a while on my growing TBR mountain.
This book is being taken to the BookCrossing meeting in Chertsey this evening.
Picked up at the meet tonight for re-releasing elsewhere.

My OH already has this on his bookshelf. I'm thinking of keeping this to pass on at the uncon, maybe even ge the author to sign it before it is realeased.
I'll be using this isn the swindon authors booksway, if there's time first I'll get it signed.
Revealed to me at the 2010 Swindon Uncon live bookswap. Not sure I will get around to reading this one, so going to wild release etc.
