Mailed to Someprimate in Malaysia
Yea! It has safely arrived! It actually landed in Kuching last week but was only able to pick it up from the post office today. Am very excited about this book for I've been wanting to read this for a long while. Jared Diamond posed some interesting thoughts on his last book, "Guns, Germs and Steel" in which he examined how and why Western civilization has developed the technologies and immunities that allowed them to dominate much of the world as we know today.
In this book, he ponders why some of the great civilizations of the past collapsed, and why can we learn from their fates?
Very thought-provoking questions and I'm eager to find out what he thinks!
Thank you very much, CBCD! I will pass the book on to my other colleagues and friends. Unfortunately, they are very bad in writing reviews or even just telling me what they thought of the book that I've given them to read... so I'd just have to hassle them. :P
