Not sure if it was 7 or 8, but better than average in any event. Not a run of the mill mystery. Interesting protagonist (not the first alky detective, but we do get in to it a bit more). Anyway, colorful, a good read, and I love the travelling book idea.
P.S. I'm passing this directly to someone, as was done with me. A bit of a cheat perhaps, but stll travelling nonetheless.
