Keeping out of Megami's Decade of Literary Fiction bookbox.
Well, I thought this was a grand tale, so well written as to be 'heard' or even seen in images like that of London's moon "drowned in a muddy puddle in Chandos Street".
Perhaps like the Giant, Hilary Mantel goes a bit too far with her story; many things are happening to the characters in this novel. But then, that's like life, surely.
