A quick, good book for a lazy summer days reading.
From the book:
"SLOAN WHITTAKER WAS RESENTFUL---AND MAD AS HELL AT THE WORLD.
Frustrated by his slow recovery following an accident, this proud young man had chased off everyone who'd tried to help him. He was a prisoner ot his bitterness---convinced he could never walk again.
JOY NIELSEN HAD BEEN THERE HERSELF.
And she understood the battle Sloan had to fight. But it was a battle she knew he could win---all he had to do was start believing. As a therapist, that was all she wanted. As a woman, Joy feared that once he walked again, the love that had grown bewtween them would be left behind."

Oh my, I can't believe I've had this book nearly 2 years! Well, I just finished reading and enjoying this one. I will be passing it along to another family member who enjoys Macomber books.
In this one, Joy Nielsen, a physical therapist becomes attached to a wounded seagul and her wounded client.
