Interesting theories. Much of it "animal people" seem to know instinctively. The last half of the book gets very interesting as she explains how the human autistic brain processes information!

I found this book in the seat pocket in front of seat 29A on an Allegiant Airlines flight from Springfield, Mo. to Las Vegas on Sept. 26. 2005. The title of the book "Animals in Translation" - Using the Mysteries of Autism to Decode Animal Behavior, caught my attention because I have a 5 year old autistic Grandson. I am quite interested in the author, Temple Grandin who is a woman who has emerged from the other side of autism. I have taken the book to my home in Lebanon, Mo. where I will finish reading it and then will pass it on to my daughter-in-law, the mother of this autistic boy in St. Louis. We have many friends and family members interested in this author due to our connection with autism. We will share this book among each other and then return it to the wild. I will ask each who receives it to register with bookcrossing. I am grateful to bookcrossing and to tobydo, who freed this book, for the opportunity to read and share this book. Thank You for sharing.
