Well ... it could, actually. If Mma Ramotswe hadn't listened to a plea of particular misfortune, she wouldn't have suffered her own mishap - c ollision between her tiny white van and a bicycle. That unfortunate crash echose another unhappy meeting - a clash of personalities. For her assistant, Mma Makutsi, has a spectacular disagreement with one of the garage apprentices. He is enraptured by a fast piece with a Mercedes, and everyone knows where that sort of thing can lead ...

This book was a "can't put down - have to findout what happens next" book. I loved it from start to finish. This author weaves a multi-layer storyline. I will read other books by this author in the future. This book is on its way to the next person on the list.

received in the mail today. I'm in the middle of reading Stephen King's "Cell" right now, but I will start this one as soon as I am done...in a couple of days probably.

Per as usual, I've throughly enjoyed this book. It was the 3rd one of this series that I've read. I really love her common sense style of detecting, and the way she talks. Especially her attitude towards men. After all, we are all human...especially men are.
Going to contact the next person on the list now.

This is the 3rd of the series that I've read, and I enjoyed the book just as much as the other two. I enjoyed the easy-to-read writing style and Mma Ramotswe's common sense style of doing things. Seretse Khama would have been proud of her.

Am mailing the book off to Rillaith today.

Arrived safe and sound, will be behind a few other rings books though - fortunately mostly quick ones.

Arrived safe and sound. I've currently churning through a bit of a backlog with ring books, but as this one will be quite fast I'll probably bump it up the queue just to clear as many as I can as fast as I can!

Just finished this morning. Another satisfyingly lovely story where all worked out just right, although I was getting worried for a minute there...

I do hope there will be more in this series - I want to see what happens with Mr Polopetsi!
