Tom's Midnight Garden
2 journalers for this copy...
This is the second copy of the same book that I'm registering and releasing. I liked the story, so when I found it again at a book sale I bought it to let free once more. Let me know what you think!

Just found the book - as arranged and I will start to read it immediately - anything to avoid reading the professional material that looms over my head this weekend. This looks to be a pleasant diversion.
This book, written and originally published inn 1958, really reflects the times - especially in the way that a young boy is portrayed. Starts off with a boy being sent to his aunt and uncle's house for several weeks because his brother has measles and is quarantined!! Lonely and bored and very homesick, he finds his way into a place where time appears to have stood still. He meets a young girl who also lives in the special garden. Interesting story but compared to today's fantasy "Harry Potter" it is slower and a lot tamer.
