The Virgin Suicides

After being recommended to me many times, when I spot this book in the car boot sale, I thought it was time I gave it a go!
I really enjoyed this book, loved the reminiscent style, allowing the story to flow. It kept reminding me of "Stand by Me" (I'm assuming it is a book as well but I have only seen the film).
I wasn't so keen on the ending, it seemed to me a quick wrapping up of all the characters when it could have been left more open ended. I found the last few pages quite boring to be honest but I wouldn't say that detracts from the rest of the novel.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
RELEASE NOTES:
Wow!! Only my second catch and, like the first, was journalled even before I got home to make the release notes! And, like the first, was caught on a train! I'm glad I remembered to pick a few books up before I left for London this morning!

I really enjoyed it. I love the poetic nature of the prose in it...
