How to be Good

I was looking for something different when I came across this in a book shop. I picked it up and was pleasantly suprised. I found it to be entertaining, witty, and funny. Most of us think at some point that we should do something to be better people. And some people, who think they are good people, really aren't that good. Certainly they do things that 'good people' wouldn't do. And don't forget our tendency to criticize the 'goodness' levels of others. This book subtly challenges our idea of 'good' and reminds us to be careful what we wish for.

Thank you so much for this. I love getting books off my wishlist, looking forward to reading it. And so nice to meet you last night
This is the third Nick Hornby I have read, and I think I may just have to conclude, I am not mad about his writing style. I don't dislike it so much as to stop reading, but it really doesn't enthrall me. I did not feel there was enough plot in this story to keep me riveted, and I really didn't care how it turned out. But I am glad I read it- if that doesn't sound too odd!
