I liked this book a lot - Brookmyre has a way of making you care about what happens to his characters. As a Scot, I found the dialect parts both believable and relaxing to read, but this may not be the case for everyone.

Fabulous! I just love these Brookmyer books - fast, incredibly funny and with cracking plots. Thanks so much for passing this one on SquishyFishy, such a treat. I´m passing it on now to a new BookCrossing buddy in Portugal, hoping he can decipher the dialect!

Good fun. Really enjoyed the political conspiracy side of the book, reminded me a little bit of the politics in my own country's right-wing ;)) Also the dialogue's fast and funny pace really took a hold of me, although it wasn't easy keeping up with the dialect, sometimes. But that just makes the book more plausible.
