This is an older copy, with different cover art, that I got in a used bookstore in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
I've only read the first two books in this series, but I like it. It's extremely well-written, and more fantasy than the horror King is best known for. The hero, Roland the Gunslinger, is a character you always root for but don't necessarily like. He uses people, but in what he thinks is a good cause. He begins this book chasing a sorceror called The Man in Black, whose real name isn't revealed for a while. There are occasional glimpses of Roland's earlier life, but not everything is explained. I highly recommend this book.

Can't rate the book yet, haven't read enough, but it's coming along.
A little Gunslinger a day helps keep the boredom away.
