Sending on
Arrived safely, thank you!
Though it loooks like the usps opened it and taped it back up...must be checking on your cd's! lol!
The narrator's voice is so grating that I don't know if I could give this a fair shake.
The story was typical chick lit with the innocent preschool teacher who just can't find the right guy. The sideline story of the big dog was neat, but it wasn't even her dog!
avl for trade
Got from cougmax today when we met to go the Seattle Art Museum and have lunch.
A cute listen but your typical chick lit. Nothing spectacular, just something to make the commute go faster.
Reserved for the Virtual Audio BookBox over on the relay forum.
Sending to Bountifulpots who accepted this one in the Audio Virtual Bookbox on the relay fora.
Got this from a swap on the relay. Thanks!
I love audiobooks, so picked this up from the Book Buffet at the BC in KC UnConvention. Since the original box was lost, this will be tough to release after I've listened to it, but maybe I can share it with a friend.

This is SO not my cup of tea. Even though my favorite guilty pleasure is to settle down with my knitting and an audiobook, this one was really boring. Maybe people who enjoy romances would have liked this better. But I agree with cougmax about the narrator's voice, and she did an especially bad job on the father's Irish accent. Also, the overall sound quality was not great - I have another book from audible with the same problem, so it may just be inherent with the process.
This will be going to the BC in DC Book Buffet so it can have another chance to find more appreciative readers.

I remember finding the movie title interesting when it came out, so I am glad to see this in audio book format. Thanks for passing it on!

As this is supposedly one of the better chick lit (it received high rating on Amazon and was filmed into a movie), I expected to like it more. Maybe I just don't like chick lit - even though Sarah at age 40 is not exactly a spring chick.
I did grow to like Sarah's funny family, especially Michael - almost make me wish I had a brother. However, I can't say the same for her beaus. I am not exactly how she made her choices. At one point she decides one guy is too boring and she doesn't want to spend the rest of her life like that, then later she thinks he's the one, and I am not sure how that transition comes about.
Anyway, this will goes into Booklady's audio box. Hope it finds a chick lit fan!
