Biggles and his friends fly south in search of the Lost Oasis. Struck down by a haboob and lost in the desert, nearly eaten by ants and sacrificed to a crocdile, they win through in the end.
One of the earliest and best Biggles books.

Arrived in the mail today. I look forward to reading it. Many thanks.
I think the picture in the front really spoilt the surprise of the crocodile in the oasis pool which was disappointing. The description of the sandstorm was vivid and the facts about how high one needed to fly above it quite fascinating. While not as gripping as Biggls & Co, it was still an enjoyable read.
