In this Alex Cross mystery, the killer is masterminding both precisely executed bank robberies and the kidnapping and execution of the bank managers and their families if the instructions for the robberies are not obeyed exactly to the letter. Cross's talents as a profiler and his cop instincts are critically needed, and just as in real life, a family crisis at home becomes explosive at the same time.

Patterson writes snappy, exciting books that will catch your attention. This book kept me so enthralled I missed almost all of a flight to England - that is, it kept me in my seat and unaware of crying babies and bored passengers.

Picked up this book from the Little Free Library in front of the College Park Presbyterian Church at 218 East Par Street in Orlando, FL. Despite finding it in Florida, it had a receipt in it from Hendersonville, NC, which is funny because I am from North Carolina as well, so it is odd to meet a book which has clearly been in contact with North Carolina in Florida when I could have met it in my home state. I will read it and then release it on the duration of my travels to South Florida (likely around the Lake Worth area).
