i've finally started reading sue grafton's alphabet novels, and until i opened this book, i thought they were set in the uk! it's a quick and easy read, a fairly standard whodunnit, without (thankfully) any of the tortuous and unbelievable coincidences and plot twists that seem to crop up so often.
