Catch Me If You Can

Bought from Buecher Brocky in Zurich, an enormous and fantastic second hand bookstore :-)
A really interesting book on the story behind the Spielberg film "Catch me if you can". The book details Frank Abagnale's amazing career as a con man. I was amazed that he got away with it for so long! His con career included stints as a Pan Am Pilot, Paediatrician, Lawyer and Sociology Professor. Incredible in the original meaning of the word!

I picked up the book at the picnic by the lake in August. I had seen the movie, and I usually like books better than movies when the two are avalable !
I liked this one too. I just have some doubts about the treatment Abagnale received in prison in France. I'm French and I never heard of anything like that (OK, I wasn't even born in the sixties, but still...)! I tried to find some proof of it on the internet, without luck. Well, if it is true, it is really awfull...
