WILD RELEASE NOTES:
RELEASE NOTES:
I am a belgian (flemish) woman of 55 years old. I found the book in the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam. I never heard of 'a crossing book'. So I was interested to understand the system. And more, the italian words on the book (prendimi, sono un libro libero) took my interest because I'm learning Italian for quite a few years. Afterthe reading of an italian book from Pontiggia (nati due volte) I hope to start with this one and then I send it back out into the wild

This book was handed to me by my soulfriend who found it in Amsterdam while we were on a day trip. In the meantime she read the book and told me it was an exciting story that makes you ... think.
And of course I'm interested in it, as my favourite books are about art and philosophy.
I'll be back when the book is finished!

A good friend is reading it now. 'Thinks' is an exploration of love (?) and deception. The consequences of a secret affair are complicated, tragic and in a way comic.
I found this book so good that I couldn't drop it somewhere without being sure it was read again by someone!
The book is amazing - it is an experiment in thinking - in free-flow writing - in free-flow loving. I'm eager to read more books from David Lodge. Who has them?

I plan to leave this book at the desk of a collegue who loves reading English books... so let's see where this leads to..

A colleague left this book for me to find ... more than 14 years ago, by the looks of it. I'm a Lodge fan, but hadn't read this one. It ended up somewhere in my enormous book piles and I forgot about it, until now. I'm in the midst of cleaning up and cataloguing my library, and came across this, and was ashamed I somehow broke the chain. This goes at the top of my TBR list ... (PS: if you're looking for a terrifically fun read, my favorite Lodge novel is "Nice Work")
