Who Do You Think You Are?

at first, i couldn't get through the beginning, but luckily when i gave it another go, i got past the slow start and fell into the story with a wonder and zeal.
there seem to be a lot of things that remained mysterious-- perhaps to my then-teenage mind i needed more closure on different bits. i also couldn't figure out if Garnet was black or not-- it matters, when you are trying to cast the characters in your head! :-)
a beautiful, powerful, realistic yet troubling coming-of-age story-- highly recommended.

I haven't read it yet; but Alice Munro is a great writer! I'm so excited!
