This memoir recounts the author's experiences of drugs, despair and rehab. It is not so much written as expelled at top speed from the author's brain, screaming with raw energy, emotion and pain. It makes for sometimes tough reading, often very funny, and always utterly compelling. It sticks two fingers up at the current blame culture and left me with a profound respect for not only this author, but anybody who can fight off addiction and live to tell the tale. This book will lodge itself in your brain, perhaps never to leave.
