I didn't know how to catagorize this book - it is a murder mystery, it is also based on historical fact, but it is mostly the story of the Osage people and the disentegration of their culture from the 1920s when oil is discovered on their reservation. This is a great book.

I just could not get into this book! I made it about half way when I finally had to give up. I think the injustice of it all just finally got to me! Thanks for sharing! Will pass on soon!

Think I will give this a try. I know it sounds strange but as I live just across the line from a lot of this area I have a bit of background already. A lot of injustice is there but it is going on now with every newspaper I read also. Hope I can read it.

Hogan did a good job of showing the way Washington treated the natives in many areas of our land. Starting with the Trail of Tears. Thanks for sharing.
