Journal Entry 1 by AnglersRest from Teignmouth, Devon United Kingdom on Saturday, July 30, 2005
I read somewhere, probably the forums, that BookCrossers are notorious for writing lists, I'm inclinded to agree, if this Journal is anything to go by (its long!).
The main profile was getting a bit muddly. I have therefore created this virtual journal, which will contain details of completed Rings, Rays, Boxes, Relays and Trades, plus any release challenges for 2005 and all those other little bits that I want to log somewhere!

The Bleak House by Charles Dickens Book Crossing read-along

The Bleak House read-along discussed in the BookCrossing Book Talk forum

I am using the Penguin Popular Classics Edition

There's a schedule for reading, and each Saturday a new thread will be started for discussion of that week's reading; readers can post messages in the thread any time. Since each week's discussions is in a new thread, readers who have fallen behind can post in those older threads without having to worry about running into a spoiler.

We aren't all reading the same edition (the book is accessible on-line for free, so some people may not read anything with page numbers, anyway); the schedule is laid out by chapters. Some editions have "books" in Roman numerals, so the overall schedule goes like this:

Books I & II (Chapters 1-7): 8 October(discussion begins)
Books III & IV (Chapters 8-13): 15 October
Books V & VI (Chapters 14-19): 22 October
Books VII & VIII (Chapters 20-25): 29 October
Books IX & X (Chapters 26-32): 5 November
Books XI & XII (Chapters 33-38): 12 November
Books XIII & XIV (Chapters 39-46): 19 November
Books XV & XVI (Chapters 47-53): 26 November
Books XVII & XVIII (Chapters 54-59): 3 December
Books XIX & XX (Chapters 60-67): 10 December

Here are some links:

And an off-site blog-type of link, where one BookCrosser has listed the participants' names, the schedule, links to relevant Dickens sites, and she'll add links to each week's discussion is here
