this book, along with most of my other children's elementary school appropriate books is being boxed up tonight and sent over to Clarkdale Elementary School in Austell GA. Clarkdale suffered huge losses last week when it was ravaged by flood waters (photos here http://www.11alive.com/news/flooding/story.aspx?storyid=135508&catid=350 )
our school is one of many groups collecting items to help in the recovery of this school and it's students so we reached out to the coordinators to make sure they would be okay with the donation of BC registered and labeled books. i doubt we will see journal entries for these, as the kids have lost their normal school and sometimes all their familiar things at home in this historic flooding. however, i am hoping those who may have shared these books with me through Bookcrossing for use at my Official Bookcrossing Zone will indulge me in this change of direction for the items being donated as i believe they are meant to help this community and these children.
