This book profoundly changed my outlook when I first read it back in the late 1970's. While dated, many of the themes, are unfortunately still far too true: violence against women, societal gender role expectations that limit women's choices, double standards and unfair workplace and academic practices for women. Indeed, it is rather disheartening that so little progress has been made in 25 years.

I found this copy for sale in a used book store for $2.00 and bought it specifically to release. I hope it provides the finder with a healthy dose of brain fodder. And it is an entertaining read that moves along at quite a good clip.

I just found the book today and I plan to read it soon and possibly pass it on to my daughter to read and then ask her to release it (probably in Montreal).
