I started to read this book, but I found out that i have read the book already in Finnish. So maybe I'll start another book which is still unread.
RABCK to Barcelona, the wonderful city I visited in 2007. The postman will take care of the book for a while.
Happy reading!

Your double RABCK got here very fast, thanks!
These will be my first in Donna Leon's famous series and I'm really looking forward to knowing what all the fuss is about - kiitos! :)

Oops. I didn't find it very compelling, but it may be me, not Comissario Guido Brunetti... ;)
(Hope I'll be able to appreciate more the next one, thanks Annelis!)

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
On its way to Madrid... (well, tomorrow it'll be)...
Yippee.... a nice quick read to get my back into reading..... concentration level seems to be shot to pieces of late. Donna Leon should fix it! Nice personalised label inside! Though Gyd's Post-It in grey seems appropriate to me! I've stuck it on the fridge... never seen a grey Post-It before!!!
Donna Leon describes the true sentiments of an Italian summer..... the humidity, the effort to do anything! The story: good, better than some. Though as a perfectionist, towards the end a poor woman is left in a flat..... is she still there???? And the descriptions of tourists, appearing "ready for the beach".... no more the case in Venice... the fist city in Italy to impose a badly-needed dress code. Despite this, I enjoyed it!!!!
I have to admit, that if I didn't know Italy quite as well as I do... then these books would not entertain me..... sometimes I feel you need to have lived there to understand certain subtleties of how the country works - or doesn't - and it is these quirks that she captures so well!

At the best two star hotel in Madrid.... on their wonderful bookcase which is bursting with books in both Spanish and English..... all for Bookcrossing! Such nice people too!
