In yet another twist, Carpathia (as the anti-Christ) decides that everyone must take his mark (or if you're into the Bible, the mark of the beast) or die. This of course poses a tough decision for non-belivers who don't like Carpathia, and for the Tribulation force. Chang ends up in a very difficult situation, and this book ends with a devastating plane crash involving 2 main characters.

I picked this volume and six others up at Joe Bean's. Thank you Little teacher, I'm looking forward to wading into them.

This book had a little more of the horror and atrocity that I felt was missing in earlier books. Most of the book continued the tradition of preaching and presenting tales of outwitting the rather stupid forces of evil, but there was a shocking section describing the brutal beating of Christians who refused to take the mark of the beast. It might seem strange to readers of this review that I consider this to be one of the books strengths, but the other books seemed extremely sanitized and "polite", qualities that don't make for a believable telling of a story of the apocalypse, I contend.
