I've been meaning to read this for a long time. Finally getting round to it (Failed numerous times to get this selected by my book club).

Finished, loved it. Great read, no matter how surreal / weird it got. How much is real only Thompson and Acosta will know for sure.

Putting this on my PC for the moment as I might revisit. If you really want to read it send me a DM and I may be tempted to change my mind.

Been meaning to read this for ages - it's one of those classic books that you feel you ought to have read! Really enjoyed it, was just an absolute journey of chaos and anarchy but with commentary on the changed post-60s American culture. The descriptive writing of some of the drug-fuelled hallucinations was just brilliant.
