I caught the book at O'Neills an independant newsagents in the west end. I found the book a bit of a chore to read as the author seemed determined to impress with her flowery prose whilst simultaneously being witty. However, her dry sense of humour was very engaging and I thoroughly enjoyed those parts of the book taken up with the relating of the protagonist's tale, laughing out loud in several places!! The overly 'frilly' I am afraid I skipped over!!!
The book has been re-released in Cumbria, to be caught by some-one who, hopefully, can appreciate it more than I did.
