Wow. Utterly compelling. Finished it in 2 sittings and left with a lasting impression. Think of "The Great Gatsby" mixed with a dash of "Wuthering Heights" and "Notes on a Scandal" with a sprinkle of hardcore erotica for good measure. Utterly compelling - am sad to learn it's only been published in Australia so far but is planned to be published in the UK later this year. It hasn't had the publicity that it deserves!!!

Many thanks for the jouney from so far away. I'm teaching myself patience so that I read books in some order related to when they reached me. This sounds like a late-night, snuggled under the covers, quick read.

Shades of Lolita and 9 1/2 weeks! This intense drama kept me reading straight through past midnight. It made me question the boundaries of sexual "normality". Was the dark, messy, inexpicably beautiful entanglement really a choice? And who suffers the consequences?

After the beginning of the book I quickly started to dislike the main character. I couldn't quite get her really and so I read this book with some difficulties.
