I wondered what kind of book it would be before I started reading, because it didn't have a blurb, and I have never read anything by Danielle Steel.

I agree with this review, quoted on the first page of the book. I think it could be described as chicklit: it's about ups and downs in the lives of the main actors of a new show. It was a very entertaining book!
