X marks the spot. . . Every tramp knew he could get a good dinner at Mother's boarding house, where they had chicken every Sunday. This is the hilarious saga of a small-town boarding house in teh good old days. You will meet as amusing set of characters as appears in any book--headed by Mother, who kept her boarders loyal and happy, and Father, who kept them wondering what on earth he would do next. "Chicken Every Sunday" is the unique story of a woman who ran a boarding house for the fun of it and made it a howling success.
It was a fun read. Rosemary gives account of her life with her parents in a home that was filled with boarders. I wouldn't want to live that way, but they enjoyed it. This is the precursor to the Bed and Breakfast. This book is a 1944 edition.
