I received this book in the mail today from VasilisaSage, and will begin to read it ASAP. I'll write more after I've finished. :-)

I think that one of the most interesting things about this book is that even though it was written in 1951 there are still numerous and frequent parallels to be drawn between the world the Asimov imagined and the world that we all live in today. I loved the set up, how each part was a story in and of itself while at the same time there was a unifying story running through the entire book.

I definitely want to get my hands on copies of Asimov's other Foundation novels, and will probably start recommending this book to people I know. I'll be sending it on to alanfoxboro as soon as I get the OK from him.
