I initially really enjoyed this book - and was willing to overlook a number of farfetched story lines in the interest of a good read.... BUT I ended up feeling really annoyed at how lacking in substance it ended up being, as it seemed all 3 sisters ended up "happy ever after" with their joy at having a child. It wasn't the celebration of diversity and different lifestyles that I had initially thought it was cos ultimately they all conformed to the "ideal" of parenthood. Obviously I'd expected too much... its not a life affirming novel - its just popular fiction.
Will be interested to hear what anyone else thinks! I just hope you don't feel you've wasted your time reading it - which is kind of how I feel now! A very negative feeling that I don't think I've ever felt so strongly before.
